About Me
Where it all began . . . .
I first discovered my passion for photography on my travels around the Yucatan Peninsular in Mexico where I was volunteering with marine wildlife charities. As you can imagine there was stunning underwater wildlife; amazingly exotic coloured fish and corals.
I lived in the jungle surrounded by wildlife. Spider monkeys, insects, fabulous birds and even the local people, with their colourful food and incredible architecture just added to the amazing visual spectacle all around me.
It’s no wonder this was the turning point, the perfect place to inspire me to begin my photographic journey. I started with my little point and shoot camera and an old underwater GoPro. Little did I know this was the beginning of a passionate obsession!

I was hooked. Many years on (and multiple thousands of pounds later) I have photographed weddings, events, people, pets, landscapes and wildlife. I’ve even developed a love for astrophotography! Over the last 3 years I have invested in an extensive array of photography equipment including professional cameras, lenses and lighting equipment.
For me, the magical part, is being able to capture a memory so perfectly, that you are instantly transported back to that moment in time whenever you look at it. I think photography is an art, and just as an artist puts their own twist on a painting, photographers can too. I am always looking for new ways to capture an image and love to be creative with the shots I take.
I also enjoy photographing sports, and I am the official photographer for Wolverley Badminton club. Photographing fast moving sports, in low light situations is challenging. You only have a fraction of a second to capture the shot you want, and camera settings must be changed constantly with images often being taken in 1/1000th of a second! This prepared me well for my work at events and weddings, when capturing the perfect image is essential!
I am constantly looking for new challenges and thoroughly enjoy pushing myself outside my comfort zone!
